Nipun Lakshay

NIPUN Lakshya is a program that’s part of the National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy (NIPUN), a program launched by the Ministry of Education in India. The program’s goals include:
Consolidating foundational learning in students up to grade 3
Strengthening foundational competence
Making learning joyful and all-inclusive

The program includes:

Teaching learning material: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) provides teachers with teaching learning material and assessment worksheets.

Workshops for teachers: Workshops are held for teachers.

Online resources: Online resources are provided for classrooms.

Round-the-year assessment: Assessments are conducted throughout the year.

Multi-level monitoring: Pedagogical transactions are monitored at multiple levels.

The NIPUN Lakshya app is used to assess the education levels of children in primary schools in Uttar Pradesh. The app is designed to be safe for children in grades 1-3 to use independently or with adult supervision.
